Mark Williams, owner of ProTect Painters of Forsyth County in Cumming, Georgia, was featured in the The Atlanta Journal – Constitution on May 22, 2011, discussing the trend of updating your home by matching your personality with contemporary color pairings.
“When it comes to changing your home’s look, the trick is to choose a style that best reflects your family’s personality and then select colors within that style,” Williams said.
He references paint colors such as “Habanero Chile,” for the bold and inventive type, or “Svelte Sage,” for those dubbed elegant and understated both colors from ProTect Painters partner, Sherwin-Williams current paint selection.
“No matter what color you choose,” Williams says, “one of the least expensive, most dramatic ways to alter the look of a home is to change its wall colors.”

Alex Roberts, President of ProTect Painters, was recently interviewed by Laura Schlereth of Lowes Commercial Services, discussing the three latest trends in interior home painting.
“People are more daring these days,” Roberts said, “They want to be more bold and inventive by using brighter colors.”
This season, homeowners are leaning toward paint jobs in “bolder colors, jewel tones paired with dusty hues, and neutral colors as a backdrop.”
Though trends will change in time, it is important for contractors and those in the painting industry to be trend-savvy, like Roberts, in order to provide the best possible service to clients seeking interior painting advice.
